Firstly check under ANYTHING that generates heat, under the tv area, the fridge, the dish washer, etc. Leave his water in the center of a room and try to catch him comming in for a drink, try leaving a mouse or rat out for a while to see if that entices him out.. good luck!

Look everywhere , even I you do not think it is possible for a snake to be there . They can get anywhere. Chances are he has not gone far . I had one escape twice in 2 weeks and she was not far both times . Locking lids are a must . Once you think his lid is secure , secure it even more . Now that he is out he will keep trying . Be sure the locks are secured too. I put locks on mine after we found her the first time and my wife took the locks off and did not secure them properly and she got out again . Some things you can try are baiting a hide with food and a heat source . Also look in any laundry piles that may be near by . Search along the walls as they tend to stick close to walls when they move around . And check any heat sources like electronics etc etc . But look everywhere , my friend had a corn escape and after a couple hours of searching he found it up on the ceiling fan .

if you have clothes on the floor look in there, i had one get out a long time ago and found him under the water heater. if your ac vents are on the floor make sure he cant get in there or you will have a snake in the walls.

You'll want to search everywhere possible. Your ball python will want to go somewhere dark and warm, so check under furniture, inside your sofa, under the refrigerator, and behind bookcases. Do not underestimate how far your ball python will travel! Search every room in the house. If you cannot find your snake within a few hours, you'll want to set up a trap. The best way to do this is to place one of their hides on a heat mat (hooked up to a thermostat) in the corner of a room. Hopefully your ball python will be attracted to seek comfort there. Depending on when you last fed your snake, you might want to put a thawed rat in the hide to entice them to seek out the scent. Leave the room dark and check often.
Important: You need to figure out HOW your snake got out. Is the lid properly secured tightly into place? Did you leave the enclosure open? How did your snake get out? You'll want to fix/resolve the problem so that it never happens again.
If you have pets, you might want to consider keeping an eye on them. Sometimes they'll spot something moving before you do and might be able to point you to it. Be careful that your pets don't do any harm to your snake though! You must keep a vigilant eye on your pets while your snake is missing.
