Argentina Boa a dream come true.

I have been wanting one for years, but every time i would find one for sale it would turn out to be sold the day before. Or something would come up and i could come up with the money for what ever reason. After 10 years of some thing always going wrong when i try to get one i gave up on ever getting one.
Fast forward 5 years. So about 3 months ago i started seeing babies pop up every now and then on Craigslist. So after non response on 3 of them and two that had just sold before i contacted them. I gave up hope again. Then yesterday i seen a 3 footer for sale for $60.00. So after a little chit chat with the owner i picked her up today.

The 3 footer is more like just under 2 foot. She said she knew it was under a year old but not sure how old for sure. I am guessing 3 to 4 months tops. She only had it about a month when her landlord found out and told her she had two weeks to get rid of it. So after almost 16 years i finally have one.

I give you my white unicorn or if you ever seen "Gone in 60 Seconds" you know what i am talking about. Meet Eleanor. lol
Even thought all my snakes are named after super villains I think i might just name her Eleanor.

Thanks everybody and yes she was well worth the wait. I have been thinking Eleanor for a name. Then today i got to thinking maybe of naming her Magic. Their is a Marvel character named Majik. I was even thinking Black Magic.

Thanks! I am hoping she does like my Dumeril did and triples in size in the first year. Plus i am hoping she gets even darker. In doing research to make sure i had all the temp corrected i did find out there is now a Red phase and Albino Argentina Boas. Kind of cool looking.

Just keep looking they are slowly becoming more available. Never give up hope when it something you truly want.

As for their dark color that what made me fall in love with Argentina boas. I will say after seeing the albino Argentina's down the road i like to get one and maybe breed them.

Sweet i just checked on her and after eating she had her first shed with me. A perfect shed plus both my BRB and Dumeril were both just finishing shedding to.:)

Well i was talking with a guy about a male and it turn out he breeds them. After we got to talking about who i got my female from it turn out he the breeder. So i was able to get some back ground on her and pictures of the parents. The parents are considered a Red Line Argentine out of Morgan Johnson's. He off the east coast.

Turns out she is almost two years old. I caught a chance to measure her and she right a 3 feet. He told me they are slow growers. I upped her from small rats to med. She a eating machine. I just thing the girl wasn't feeding her big enough food.

Honestly mites aren't the end of the world. While annoying and not something I prefer to deal with, I certainly wouldn't pass on a good deal just because it had mites. They're relatively easy to get rid of if you know how to do it.
