I've been reading about the Santa Catalina Rattlesnake, Crotalus Catalinensis not sure about spelling, and was wondering if anyone keeps these. It seems they do not have rattles and do climb trees and bushes, etc. I guess their main food is birds and of course that would be the reason for the climbing and maybe for losing the rattle. I just heard about them recently and would like a little more information on them if you folks can help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Being critically endangered, I doubt you will find anyone on this site that does.

Are there any other rattlesnakes that have "lost" their rattles the way this one has or is this the only one?

I know it's the only one that I have heard of. I think it is cool how it has adapted to feed on birds, etc. There are a lot of things going on in the animal world that I am not aware of I guess but I can always come here and find out about a lot of them.
