If it's the snake in your avatar, it actually looks like a snow, not an amel (red albino). Check out Ian's Vivarium (http://iansvivarium.com/morphs/species/elaphe_guttata/?sid=) for some morph pictures to see if you can find something similar. :)

This is why I always prefer buying from breeders and not "big box" stores (PetCo, PetSmart, etc), because their "reptile specialists" usually can't even tell the difference between a corn snake and a boa.

On that note, though, congrats on your new baby! My first corn was a snow. Be careful. They're kinda like potato chips, meaning you can't just have one. (I have about 60 in my house right now. Lol) ;)

It's female right? Name it Snow White. Then buy a male and name him the Huntsman - breed them, and name the offspring:

Bashful
Doc
Dopey
Grumpy
Happy
Sleepy
Sneezy

This suggestion exudes originality.... O_o

I second 'Snow White' for the name if it's a female and maybe 'Prince Snow', 'Prince Frost', or 'Jack Frost' if it's a male?
Also, from the pictures you posted on the Gallery, I think your little corn is a snow motley? I don't know a lot about corn morphs so someone please tell me if I'm wrong.

Chione - goddess of snow

Someone else had already said it, didn't see that... :sorry: Anyway let us know what you decide.

This is so funny. I was totally thinking earlier that I need to start naming my boas after Disney characters. Weird huh?

At the chain shops that is totally the norm. You are actually very lucky if the animals are housed properly and if the employees have a clue about correct care/needs.

...Or even what they are! I've had to tell Pet Supplies Plus more than once that if it's a darker green with stripes on the back it's a CWD not an Iguana.

That's why I consider myself fortunate that I know how to sex snakes. I do it in front of breeders at shows (just because if it says "female", I don't trust it unless I sex them myself), and I do it at pet stores if I find something interesting. I found a granite corn in my local PetCo the other day! Talk about an awesome find!

Perma (as in Permafrost)!
