Hannibal, my ball python, well she has very dark eyes. In fact the only time that I see the slit, is when I just took a pic of her crawling across my laptop... Anyways, when there eyes blue over, is it noticeable? Some of her scales feel a little rough, and I believe she is about to shed.

Once the eyes are completely blue, it's VERY noticeable, here is an example of my ball python girl who is currently in shed. She's got very dark eyes as well. Sometimes the blue isn't as noticeable, like I just had happen with my bigger python Valentine. She's got dark eyes with a little gray on the top third. She went into shed but I noticed not because of her eyes, but because her scales went from a rich burnished bronze to a rather unimpressive brown, with very little blue on her eyes. She hid a lot so I never saw them go completely blue.

My snakes do the same thing when their in shed. My females eyes get very dark blue almost purple and both of my snakes feel dry as well. Take pics after her shed!!

Sure will... Her belly is looking a little pinkish, and quite a few of her scales feel rough, almost like they are coming off? Is that another sign she is getting close?

It could take up to a week before she sheds make sure to provide lots of humidity that will help alot for proper shedding

Is she chillen in her water bowl? If so you may need to bump up the humidity, maybe mit her from time to time....

I never see her in the water bowl... Humidity averages about 50% over night, and about 85% in the day time.
