.... So I tooks some pics. He discovered my old dual 12" sub box thats ready for the garbage. This gave me a hide idea for my big females enclosure.
He just loved this box.

Of course if you fill your hands with stuff and try to carry your snake thats when they climb on your head.

Great tongue shot. He is looking like he wants that sub hide, I think the female may have to fight him for it

Thanks
She is almost 2' longer than he is and she is in a 4x4x2 viv that will so be "the love shack" so they can share. I am going to pull off the carpet and paint/seal it. It will sit upright under the RHP so they can bask, warm hide, cool hide or no hide. Maybe even put some plants (fake) in there too.

He also has a velvet look to him which is a bit weird too. The 2 babies he sired are gonna be awesome jungles. Hopefully this year we get more than 2.

Well here we have it. First handling. My son just said "dad I gotta be the first to hold him" so I said " better do it now or I will". Today was the planned day for first handling. So he took off his shirt in case he got musked (easier to shower it off) and pulled out his branch.
We used gloves for 2 reasons. 1 no heat signature for first handling and 2 if the bite and hang on you can just slip off the glove and put it back in the viv with the snake still on and let it release when it feels like it. Safely!!
Here are the pics.

No issues at all. No jumping. A bit of rolling but many do this as babies anyway. They just won't lose eye contact for nothing.

Very cool. I love these pics of your "first handling". Definitely put a smile on my face. :)

It was so exciting. I had him for about 2 minutes as well. He slithered calmly off me back into his viv. Zero drama.

He's starting off with an awesome attitude! Hopefully his future handling sessions will be just as positive. :)

Have you handled Beta yet?

All your carpets are gorgeous! Your carpets and sunglow are my faves :D

Here is Nicky - getting some last summer sun on the deck railing before it gets too cold - and a bath in the kids pool. Saw this thread and thought I would post 'cause Nicky is originally from Kitchener!

Good news on the 1st handling session going well. They both seem to be coming along nicely and showing their colours well

Haha you posted pics of a Ford in the Chevy forum. Lol
I have a couple adult boas as well. Where does Nicky live now and why the move ?

Pics of baby carpets are tough with a cell phone. Flash = to bright no flash = to washed out. Getting the colour right is a challenge I have yet to master. But getting there.

What makes this even better is the fact that I own a Ford and it was just off to the left of the second pic of the boa by the kiddie pool. So stupid me....I had to look at the pic again because I'm thinking "I don't remember the Ford being in the pic I took".....then the analogy kicked in. (I'm on alot of car forums too, so this didn't seem out of the ordinary for me)DUH !!!!
:laugh:Lol

The boa was from a rescue in Kitchener. She lives in ****** now, within the region of Durham - I believe ****** is only one of few if not the last municipality within Durham to even allow boa's or pythons anymore. Check your pm
