Plastic plants are ok, live plants are not....for the safety of the plant.

If your still considering using real plants you should look for the one that come in pots so your snake dont crush them, or some hardie ones like photos

Pothos is a great one to put in there, although you do have to make sure that you leave it in its pot and in such a way that its not killed by your snake. I have pothos in my ball cages and have not had any problems keeping them alive. They are virulent weeds where they come from and very hardy plants.

Maybe a potted plant, I had sick cage for my boa once. I got organic soil, treated it for any kind of bugs, picked a few plants that would do good in artifical light. I even planted real grass in it. It looked awsome. The grass filled out, the plants where brite and growing, everything was a real eye catcher. Then the snake got hungry. He flattened and killed almost everything roaming the cage. After I fed him, he settled back down, I got to work on my stuff again and it lasted great for a week and a half. Then, you guessed it, he got hungry. I took it all out, it wasn't worth the money or hassle.
