look under everything, sofa cushions, chairs, under the TV set, under the fridge, under the stove, in closets, everywhere...

1. Search EVERYWHERE. Even in places you think it wouldn't go. Under furniture, BEHIND furniture, in your drawers, etc. The darker and smaller the better.
2. Set out a hide in the corner of the rooms with a thawed mouse.
3. Put out a heat mat (hooked to a thermostat) with a hide over it.
4. Figure out how/why the snake got out and make sure it doesn't happen again.

Good luck and keep us updated!

Look everywhere, even places you think he couldn't get to. Snakes can surprise you where they can end up. Anywhere where there's a heat source is where I would check first, then dark, tight spaces, and so on.

Check. Everywhere.

Oh and when you find him, put a lock on his cage so your brother can't get into it again!

My kenyan has gotten out a couple times, and everytime I find him under some clothes or a towel on my floor. I don't know about kings, but I would look under any piles of clothes on the floor.

This is worrisome. You should really find a way to properly secure your KSB inside his enclosure.

OP, any luck with finding the snake?

I've gotten some locks for his lid and he hasn't gotten out in months, which I probably should have mentioned. I'm planning on getting him a tank with a sliding lid when I have the money, or one with locking doors instead. Couple more paychecks and I'll be able too haha

My king got out once, I put a heating pad in the living room under a hide, turned on a movie - turned out the lights, and two hours later Aurora was back! I hope you find your snake, it's very stressful when you cant locate them, especially if you have other animals that don't live in a cage. A buddy used to say put flower down in the doorways so you can see if the snake has crossed through there....Only problem is which way did it go...Good luck, let us know if you find it!
