I'd love to be on an island at the moment, with my snakes, and no one else around, except for one other person

He's around 12 years old, but it could be a year or two younger. I was told he was around 3 or 4 when i got him 8 years ago, so that would be my best guess :)

I have two in the same boat: I was told six to eight years and not a spot more info. Glad he's such a looker for having such an elusive past! ;-)
Very nice! Hard to believe that our new baby will eventually be that big!

Wow gorgeous looking rainbow.. I really like the zoomed out shots that give a better impression of his length. And he shines so well! I haven't been on here in a while but I'm glad I came back :)
Any idea how long he is, give or take a few inches of course.. I can never get an accurate measurement on my snakes.

I think, and don't quote me on this, he's around 5 1/2 feet, but of course i could be totally wrong, lol. I absolutely love him, he has his forever home with me, i just can't imagine selling him...

Oh I would have to agree with that statement, I could never get rid of my Rainbow. What size is the enclosure you are keeping him in? I've got a 45 gallon for mine, but he is just starting to explode in size (hes about 2 years old) and am going to have to upgrade pretty soon.
I finally got a nice Lexan cover made up for his tank which is amazing at holding the heat and humidity in, which is too bad because in a few months I'll have to get rid of it and make another one.
I've seen some nice enclosures on youtube, I would like to make a custom one myself but I just dont think I will have the time.

Great looking snake! With the patterns and colors it's one of the best I've seen. As someone else mentioned also one of the healthiest as well.

He's in a 75 gallon, with a custom made top covered with lexan. If you work at it, you can make these type of enclosures work. You are right about the Lexan, it holds the heat and the humidity in really, really well..

Plus its bulletproof! up to a .22 I'm to understand.. well at least for the 1/4" stuff.
Its really the only way I've been able to maintain humidity and a proper temperature gradient. I had an automatic mister in there before, but it didn't really work as well as I had hoped it would.
