Hello all, my friend is going to get a albino banana California kingsnake and wanted to know the specifics for care. We need to know humidity, temperature, etc. I ask here because I like to have answers directly from people who own them. My friend doesn't have Internet and wanted me to ask for her.

The enclosure should be big enough so that half of it's perimeter is longer than the snake.
And escape proof!

Use back heat or belly heat with a heat pad, UTH, flexwatt or heat cable. Do not use a light.
The heat should be available in one spot or the back third of the enclosure. Keep the snake in a cooled room (72F or so) and the hot spot should be around 85F or so.

Use 3 inches of aspen or so for substrate. This way the snake will have many places to hide at the temps it wants. Also place a tub of moist sphagnum moss in the enclosure in a manner that it is partially on the hot spot and the rest on the cool spot.

This will create a humidity and temperature gradient so the snake can choose the temps and humidity it needs to thrive.

Oh yeah...don't forget the water bowl.......Fresh water weekly or sooner if it gets dirty....
