I just picked up 2 new Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes. Here is a picture of one of them and a few new pictures of some of my other venomous.

Gorgeous snakes! I LOVE the closeups of their faces... Although it does feel like they are staring into my mortal soul. Awesomeness at it's finest!

The NP and Falsie are sweet looking. The Canebrake looks comical and evil all at once.

If they are venomous how do you take them out to clean cages without getting bit?
You've got good taste in Crotalus, I like C. rubers quite a bit, quite a gem. Do you know what locale?
A nice Blacktailed or a Banded Rock next?

Proper tools and a lot of courage with extreme caution.

False Water Cobra venom is considered to very potent and is similar to Crotalidae. However, they are not capable of producing a large yield of venom. The small amount of venom being produced, combined with poorly evolved fangs and a poor delivery system make this snake's bite less than life threatening. Envenomation reports suggest that most bites result in localized swelling, pain and itching. Always be aware of the possibility of an allergic reaction or anaphylactic shock.

I use mostly a plastic shield and long hemostats, snake hook or a cover box. Other methods are tongs, gloves or hide boxes that close.

Sorry I don't know the local. What is next is still a mystery to me, but I love Crotalus's.

The NP is great, I've never seen one in the wild are they as colorful as the ones you have? My favorite is the EDB, big, mean but they sure are pretty to me.

I don't know why but I think that is a Southern Pacific rattlesnake it just looks like one to me for some reason. I guess its the facial markings on it look very much like a Helleri
