Yes they are.. I'm still negotiating on the pictures, they are watermarked too heavily for my liking, even though I have full permission to use them.

I see. This is probably a dumb question, but have you asked for clean copies to be sent to you?

well I hope that gets sorted out. Watermarks can be both wonderful tools and absolutely annoying at the same time.

I prefer this kind of watermark (I put it on the pictures per Roy's request)

Those are good watermarks, out of the way and still a pain to 'erase' via photoshop or some similar program. Also very blatant and not flashy, doesn't make the owner of the photos seem desperate to protect their images, haha

myself, I feel honoured when I see one of my photos "used" by another person.
I found my BP being used as another person's avatar on another forum.
I wrote a PM to the person and said "glad you like my picture"

I don't mind people just using images... however if a person claims it as theirs and lies about it? That I have a problem with.

That's when you get to have fun calling out a liar.
just show some other photos of the same animal and bingo, that person is caught with their pants on fire.

Exactly. :) But when it happens with art it's really upsetting. I haven't had it happen to me (yet) but I've caught several 'art-thieves' on various sites that took the art / traced the art without permission of some of my friends online. >.>

For some reason I didn't realize how tiny they are at birth!

i'm just happy it hasn't happened to me yet. But I'm fully prepared for it to happen >.< And I'm always on the look out for my art buddies... If something looks similar I bring it to their attention and let them decide if it's been copied or not, lol

Look at the Littlefoot and Cera thread, mine were hatchlings when they arrived.

I know. But it still amazes me how tiny they are...and their growth rate still surprises me lol

This is why I don't post any of my "personal" artwork online anymore. I'll post past logo designs & projects from businesses and companies on my portfolio, but none of my own stuff.

That is a big deal right there. It is good to see someone doing it.
