Hey guys, just a few things on my mind. First off, does anyone know of carpet breeders in Co., or any good places to look when I'm ready to get another? When Sero and I are happy and very settled, I'd really like to get a male juvenile. The CCP I have now is the first one I've ever owned and the first I ever actually saw... Didn't even know these guys existed :/ and now I'm obsessed.
Second, I am very curious as what their teeth look like. I've seen inside Sero's mouth during her feedings, but never got too close. Anyone have photos of their teeth? I have a big girl and I wanna know what she's "packin" lol. Thanks in advance. Sorry that I have had so many questions, I just want to know everything about carpet's and I want to do every little thing right. Serophina is about 5-6 years old, and I want to do my best for the next 20 or so years. I want to be educated enough and maybe one day offer a newbie advice like a lot of you have done for me. This is by far my favorite place to learn about snakes. Anyone can post in the Internet, but I'd rather directly ask experienced owners. Thanks so much!

i actually have done brief business with mike curtain (almost bought one of his ij's) and would highly reccomend him. He was prompt, informative, and went out of his way to answer my string of questions. I ended up buying mine from a breeder on kingnsake called "geckodaddy" who was amazing and has carpets from anthony caponetta

its a 2ft x 2ft x 2ft box the import gets done in,so.....
i can get some of the other USA morelia breeders lines,in with Johns stuff
it will cost me $975 (£650) for transportation,as well as the price of each snake

Oh, dang! Thanks guys! I definitely have to check them all out. I dont know a whole lot about the subspecies, and in the future I would like to breed, but I need to educate myself on that and wait a few years. Please don't laugh at me, but is there a certain subspecies that are the ones that look like they are "wearing" fishnet? I've looked at tons of photos online and love the way those look. One of the employees at the reptile shop said he thought I might be talking about IJ's. Im sure the carpet I have now is 100% coastal.i personally think she's one of the most gorgeous snakes I've ever seen, but I'm pretty picky.
While I'm here- anyone have any good ideas for a terrarium background? I've been trying to find a black one with white skulls, but no luck. I have a blanket I can hang on the outside somehow. I wanted to use a Blacklight as well, but after reading so much on his forum, it looks like blacklights are not good for snakes... So maybe just a red bulb (or another safe color) would be cool. I have an idea in my head of how I want Sero's enclosure to look pretty cool, but still be pretty easy to clean when needed. There are some awesome skull replicas Ive seen specifically made for reptiles and aquariums. Of course she won't be able to use any of them as a hide because of her size. I actually have rabbit/hamster hides I got for her and spray painted black to make them a little darker and cozy for her. They were a translucent blue before. I was using the lid of my kitty litter box, and though it is big enough for her, she isn't "snug" in it, so the rabbit hides I found I think will be perfect! I spray painted them 4 weeks ago and they have been sitting outside and in the sun since to eliminate the chemical smell as much as possible. I also constructed my first locking wooden lid for her "new" enclosure and think I did well for my first time making anything. It isn't too bad looking and I think it will see its purpose. I did create an enclosure thread about it, but don't think too many people were interested lol. I am currently trying to make plans for an enclosure I want to build for her, and I have some great ideas so far and have picked up ideas from other people on this forum.
It is amazing to see so many people own carpet's, and love them as much as I love my girl. She Symbolizes a lot in my life and I am just amazed by her beauty, temperament and size. Ah! Sorry I just rambled on! Just excited to ask questions and ACTUALLY be able to talk about my snake to people who understand and care a LITTLE bit more than any of my Friends/family. No one else gets it!
P.S- how can I get my profile picture to show up? Is that just for special people on here or...? Haha.

Thanks! Its been a lot of fun learning about her, handling her, etc. I've never really been a snake person, but I'm definitely hooked now, at least to CP's!
