Does anyone have a growth log they can share? I'm trying to gauge my expectations for the growth of my baby BRB.
If I believe the reptile shop, he's about 4 months old now and 17" long. (I don't have a sensitive enough scale to measure weight yet.)

Does 17" sound about right for 4 months? Or is the shop wrong?
What can I expect at 6 months?
1 year?

(assuming normal weekly feedings - we do not power feed)
PS: I say four months because the shop said he was part of a litter that was 2-3 months old (+ we've had him 1 month). But I know retailers are not exactly scientific about this stuff.

BRB OC, it's all but impossible to estimate age based on current length. There is so much that can vary, the biggest of which is feeding practices -- how large and how often an animal is fed (by the breeder, by the store, by you) can make an enormous difference.

I tend to go by weight anyway...length is tough to measure. Do you know how much he weighs?

17" is about what I got my BRB at this time last year and he was roughly that age too.

this guy is about 9 months or so I think and about 110 grams or so , about 27 inches eating big mouse hoppers , still won't have anything to do with rats though.

Thank you all. Based on all of that, I'm trusting the age estimate I was given. But I'll still be investing in a kitchen scale so I can weigh him! (My postal scale isn't sensitive enough)

PS: TekPC07, beautiful animal! Thanks for the pic.

I'll have to share a pic of my little guy as soon as he sheds. He's a bit dull at the moment. (in color - not personality) :)
