I would say less than 80 probably around 60 if you make your own hides and water dishes.

Buy from a breeder online or go to an expo. Kind depends on what colors and patterns you want, they can be anywhere from 10 dollars to 200 dollars. It is all a matter of preference.

The cost depends on what you buy and what you make.
The water dish can be a tupperware. The hides an be made out of a cereal box. You can use newspaper as substrate. Then your own cost is the heat mat and thermostat.

Here's another great item to use as a hide and for a water dish. I find some water dishes tip over easily, but you can go to Wal-Mart in the Gardening or Seasonal section and grab these two items for super cheap.
1. Terracotta Bowl (inside is glazed): There is a variety of sizes and are easy to clean and don't tip over easily. They are usually used as a base for a plant pot. These are around $1-$7 depending on size.

2. Recycled Plastic Dish: Same thing; in the Garden section and are also used as a base for plant pots. You can easily cut out a hole and round off the edges of the hole and boom - you got yourself a hide, and it only cost you 75¢!

Hope this helps :)
