What exactly is going in there??

simpleyork
08-21-12, 03:00 PM
two sav. monitors

BarelyBreathing
08-21-12, 03:47 PM
Well that isn't large enough for two. That doesn't even look large enough for one.

simpleyork
08-21-12, 04:09 PM
it will be 7x4x4 lost a foot due to my wifes TV room couch

BarelyBreathing
08-21-12, 04:16 PM
An 8x4x4 is the standard minimum recommendation for ONE savannah monitor. You will need to build two of these.

simpleyork
08-21-12, 04:28 PM
yes I understand that. I also need to convert the room that their currant cage is in into my Ornates enclosure. So this is one step closer to getting Godzilla rid of his roommates.

BarelyBreathing
08-21-12, 04:46 PM
Okay, I'm sorry I misunderstood. I assumed you were planning on keeping both of them in there.

simpleyork
08-21-12, 04:56 PM
no problem, deffinantly not for the long haul, they are only a few months old, younger then Wayne's I suspect. On the verge of talking my wife into taking the TV upstairs. As she is 4 months prego and would prefer not to walk up and down the stairs anyway to go watch TV. Then I'll have almost endless possibilities on size.

BarelyBreathing
08-21-12, 05:06 PM
That would be fun! And congrats on the little one, by the way.

simpleyork
08-24-12, 02:09 PM
yes we are booting them out of their room because the monitors need the space more then them anyways

Do you happen to know what the minimum space requirement for children is?

I house mine in 10x10 enclosures, but they are let out for frequent exercising and meals. We also provide enrichment activities outside of their enclosures.

when I set up their new cage I dug a short test hole in the soil, they didn't touch it till yesterday when I caught Tinkerbell digging it out, she added about a 2 foot length to it in the past 24 hours(used a small stick to measure it while I was feeding them today)

old mid section that I pulled apart
Now there are two basking spots since Hootinanny had a hard time sharing with Tinkerbell.
The day I put it in Tinkerbell claimed it as her basking spot.
