Quick intro

I've been lurking around here a few days now reading a TON, and have been really interested in the subject for a number of years without the amount of exposure I've wanted. I'm relocating in the beginning of 2013 to a new state for school and am contemplating a snake in my new home, so I decided I had to join up and learn as much as possible in the upcoming months before I rush into a decision, however tempting haha.
Anyways, hello! Looking forward to conversation and the knowledge, from my lurking it seems like a super rad community.

Welcome... Any idea's on what sort of species your interested in? Or what do you want from your pet snake in regards to temperament/size etc :)

Just as far as I've looked into things, it seems pretty common that a BP would be the best to start with? As far as size/temperament, when I relocate for school I should have a spare bedroom able to house at least a pretty decent sized snake, and would really enjoy one that would be well with handling a lot and really chill overall.
