Pareeee put up a bunch of art, and whilst I love doing the snake drawings, that's not the only art in my repertoire.
Senior project that I paired up with another artist to complete. We both had one half, hers being the 'colored' half on the right while mine is the 'monotone' one on the left. Her side was inspired by modern renditions of traditional tattoo while mine was inspired by the negative space and line of Henna tattoos. finished early May.

Poor picture, but this is a large wooden board with the lines burnt into the wood and then painted with india ink and water color. Sealed later and made waterproof. :) it's about 2 feet wide. finished at the beginning of summer.

Small picture - this was a doodle i did last summer. Was a shading practice, all pencil

This is an example of some of the other digital art i've done... Insect Anthromorphs. Red Mite on the left, wood scorpion on the right. Both are girls - the scorpion looks like a man on purpose. No sexual dimorphism in scorpions, so the 'anthro' has none either.

Difficult to see, but there are well over 70 creatures on this chart. All of these are 'to scale' with each other, and all but a few natural creatures down in the right corner, I have created. Those line of dots up top are various humanoids. just to compare.
http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/212/0/c/species_comparison_chart_pencil_version_by_shayiss-d59cwqs.png
More digital art of the insect anthromorphs - This one is a particular favorite despite it's simplicity. Cousins, the black and bigger one is older and showing his younger cousin how beautiful the things in the world can be.

Old pencil drawing from several summers ago. Dragon character of mine.

Kirin (chinese unicorn) a friend designed and gave to me a long time ago.

More digital art - Dragon inspired by chinese style dragons. wanted to draw a 'grr' face haha

Background to a digital drawing I'd done - I like it with or without the characters in the foreground, but here is just the background.
http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2010/265/b/b/midnight_blaze_by_shayiss-d2yoxod.png
Dragon character inspired by a piebald ball python! (The tribal black markings are tattoos, not natural markings.) I created this just before joining the forum.
http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/224/7/c/valkyryn_the_iyryn_by_valkyryn-d5avcok.png
Recent pencil drawing of a large lizard like species that dwells in caves. These are meant to be a bit bigger than a horse.
http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/221/d/f/regala__chardonis_by_valkyryn-d5ag8v6.jpg
One of my absolute favorite digital pieces... Compilation of 7 individual drawings, the '7 lords' that exist in the world I've created. this also doubles as a 'clock'. When you follow the colors of the sky in the background, they follow the times of day (roughly).
http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2012/221/0/8/lords_of_the_land_by_valkyryn-d5ag87f.png
animation works, yay! This is a run cycle of that Piebald inspired dragon earlier in the post.

Just remembered this drawing..... This is the earliest drawing I have that i've done. Fourth grade. Compare this to the other stuff, wow I've changed...

Found pictures of some little modeling clay sculptures i'd done last year. I think they're relevant, haha

And here is the Tattoo I designed myself and got shortly after my 18th birthday. :) This was also shortly after I got romeo - thus, the snake oruborous! Bad picture, and ignore the tan lines. Went to sand diego spring break earlier this year and got burnt to the point of blisters on my shoulders. yowchie.

Digital drawing of an odd little creature with no eyes that a friend of mine designed - here is one all curled up in a ball and experiencing a nightmare. Just some personal art to get me back in the swirl of things. :)

Discovered some pictures of some art that I forgot about, whoops.
Stylistic realism, india ink and white acrylic on green sheet paper. Painted from a photo of a bug lucite necklace.
http://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/47624_10150342629875472_8010444_n.jpg
Tribal eagle sketch, india ink. This was for fun. Did a few different animals but this one turned out best.

I do realistic drawings too! This is one of the cats we had to give up a few months ago because we weren't caring for them properly.... Buddy the farm cat, literally.
http://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash4/390935_10151001731955472_803988270_n.jpg
I did odd things too - a stick person. Literally! Sticks, leaves, wire and hot glue. Absolutely nothing else :)

been toiling away at this for... I think two days. My hand hurts, and I'm up waaaay too late. :)
But i'm proud of it. Came from the dragon sitting on an orb that I posted earlier on this thread, but for easy comparison, I'll put it here too. :)

Been meaning to rework that one, actually. I think I'll start on that today. Been getting back into 'professional' works since i've got a week till I move in for college O.o
Snake art isn't finished, just put on hold. :) although one of them is a picture of my three BP's, stalling on that one since I'll have to fabricate and copy the markings from several pictures, since I created the 'poses' myself.

Kaetlin, you really should join conceptart.org and join in on some of the concept art competitions there. Other cool art sites are Deviantart.com and RateMyDrawings.com.
I really like that one dragon on the mythical animal chart - the big top-left one. You should paint him in colour! My favourite is the first one with the henna inspired artwork.

I'll check out conceptart.org, I'm already on Deviantart! :) I've got three accounts (two are 'old' and I don't use them anymore) but my current one is Valkyryn on deviantART (http://valkyryn.deviantart.com/)
The scale drawings in pencil, or the painting with the big blue centerpiece and surrounding paintings?
The henna inspired art was my senior project. It still stands in my school, indefinitely. :)

(also, if Alessia or infernalis pop on here at any point, I didn't realize that this sort of thread should be in the member's lounge rather than general discussion. Care to do me a favor and move it? :) Just trying to do things right! Thanks!)

Um, 45 minute doodle. Two creatures I did not make - made by an e-friend on Deviantart. The big purple fellow and the little dark brown fluffball I got from them, and the other fluffballs I designed.
Other than that I have no clue why I did this, haha. I swear i'm not insane!

Current work in progress, using an alien species created by a user on Deviantart, the species are called 'Yadka'!
I figured it was related because the girl is a wildlife lover, and chooses to live in the rainforest over the village of her people. Whilst I know it's unrealistic, she is something of a reptile-whisperer, and takes care of the creatures of the forest. Here, on her back is (supposed to be) a juvenile green mamba nicknamed 'baby', and on the other person's back is a large male ball python nicknamed 'Ol' Codger' for his sour attitude. This is all make believe. I know you can't handle green mamba.
Here is the image, then the link to the Deviantart version, if you want to look at it there!

Of my three BP's. I took a step back (figuratively, I zoomed out to see all of it), and was a little shocked at how I could clearly tell that it was Ashanti and Valentine (and soon to be Romeo). I really shock myself sometimes..

General shading done; Next task is to shade all those tiny individual scales... yay! :wacky: also need to touch up the eyes. Did some overall color modification and didn't notice the eyes changed as well. oops!
