I'm building an enclosure for Pajamas, my retic, and while looking at ideas, I came across this:

New Custon Tiger Reticulated Python Hide - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7j6xRGQXn0)

I think it's brilliant! can anyone see anything wrong with this, or improvements?

Actually, that looks pretty cool. I'm impressed. I don't know why that design wouldn't work.

SWEEETT! It bugs me a little when I see these huge pythons in cages without a hide =/ they're hiders, after all. So, I think I'm going with a similar design to this. *dancing* i'm almost ready to draw up my plans!!

My only caution point would be the running of heat cable that close to bamboo like he has done, But the way he has created this for the immediate and future use is smart thinking.

Oh, i don't think I'll be doing heat cable. I'm going to use radiant heating in the one I build, so his hide staying warm won't be an issue. I had wondered about that too, though.

Why hide when you're 16 feet, 160 pounds of muscles and the apex predator?

It does have some allure to it.

but i thought they were like balls and liked to hide? even if he doesn't NEED it, i rather like the idea of him having one if he wants, or a place to go on top if he wants =]
