Be careful in the swamps, they have alot of wild hogs running around. Have taken a few airboat rides through there

When u are there there is a road called gator alley, runs from west coast to the east coast. I think it is interstate 75, there r a few pull off dirt roads that run through the glades, took my wife there and got some good video of gators feeding. Watch where u walk the grass is high and the gators lay all over. Also so some manatees

There are specified park enterances that have parking lots. Park in there. They're connected to either boat tours or walking trails.

Go to the park entrance, park in any of the parking lots. Go on the walking trails... you'll find plenty there if you look in the right spots. You might want to walk a few feet off the trail (at least 2 feet off the side of the trail) where your'e more likely to find some. Good luck!

In Florida just about any place can be good for herping. Find a wooded area, an open field, a river bank even close to houses can be good. Lots of critters down there and they are usually easy to find if you look for them. Just remember that they also have a lot of hot snakes in the area as well. If that is what you like then the pine flats are a good place for the EDB. I love it down there, there is such a great variety of things to find and most of them won't eat you although some of them will.
