Hello, i was thinking about selling or trading my blood python, i dont think shes very happy in her new home.. i cant seem to get the humidity right...but there is always another problem after another problem... I thaught i was ready for one of these, but i guess not:( so i will sell or trade her to a expeirienced person here and who knows how to care for them... im still not sure if i wan to do this so give me a week or two... i still have some last resort thing i can try to raise the humidity. anyway please think about buying or trading... shes a three foot red blood python, who is extremely freindly....so tell me what u can offer but i still might say no because my last resorts might work...im sad to think of letting her go to a new home but i will be happy of i can make sure i know some one who has these animals and has expeirience will be taking care of her:) please consider,
thank you,
bill

Putting a tub/container of damp forest moss (available at almost any pet shop) that's large enough for it to get in to inside the enclosure not only helps raise the humidity, but they just love lying on it and digging in it.

Agreed! Makes them very very happy :)

Of course, that's only a band-aid and not a long-term solution. These things take a pretty serious dedication and a deep understanding to keep them happy and healthy, so it might still be best to get it in to the hands of someone who's ready for that challenge. Only you'll know if you're ready for it or not, but I can tell you this - It's going to get more and more challenging as the snake gets larger and larger.

I use the forest moss im my glass tank cuz I had a hard time getting over 40% with aspen bedding. & if u have a screen on ur tank put a damp towel up to ur heat lamp that helps a bunch. & I keep my forest moss about 4 inches deep & remist it twice a week. now my tank stays 80 to 85%. My forest moss is called Jungle Mix its awesome try it & see for yourself. good luck & I hope u get to keep ur blood they are my fav.
