Hi All,
I was watching my snake while it was in its hide and noticed that it was inquisitive at the opening of the hole. The hide is a snake dome (concave shape) and it was either patroling the opening (looking upward), or maybe star gazing? While looking up, it was sticking out its tongue frequently. I noticed that the hide is large enough for her, however she cannot freely yawn. She can open her mouth about 3/4 open while in her hide. Do you think the hide is too small for her, or there is something wrong?
I took her out for inspection, she was very playful and did not do this again. Maybe i'm a little paranoid or something. Do you think this is cause to take her to a vet? If the vet were closer i'd go as a precautionary visit, but it's about 1 1/2 hours away to the closet vet with herp experience. I have no problem going, however I have the condition known as laziness and dont want this guy thinking im over reacting.
What do you all think?
