So, I'm sitting here watching "Swamp Brothers"....I guess these guys work for/own Glades Herp(at least the brothers both wear GHerp shirts)...anyway, I know these shows have to "make it look good" for the masses, but geez, some of the crap on these shows....

On the up side, it's cool that there are shows with herps on the air, just stop sensationalizing and making up crap!



Ok, I'm done now. Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

I have yet to see an episode of Swamp Brothers.

I was listening to an episode of The Reptile Living Room (I need find which one!), where the guest mentioned that she was approached by Swamp Brothers and was asked to be involved with a staged re-enactment of a snake removal, something about her acting hysterical and scared of a snake in her house. If I recall. the episode features Melissa Coakley of the Suncoast Herp Society, or someone else fairly prominent in the south Florida herp scene. In any case, it was something that did not paint herps in a positive light, and she wanted no part of it.

I had heard mixed opinions about the show, and Glades Herps in general, and after I heard this, it kinda cinched my view of them.

I refuse to watch Swamp Brothers. The two times I've seen it its been nothing but uneducated drivel that seems to be par for the course for most of the AP shows. They've got a few that are good (discussed in another thread) but for the most part its all bad.
