Jay, it MAY be an anery.
I personally was going to guess it's a live boa.

True, hopfully he uploads a half decent picture.
How can you tell if it's a live boa for sure?

Good point.
I figure it's due to the position it's in and the muscle tone.
I can't get a better picture because that the only one that the ad had, and the reason I was hoping for a ID is so I could look it up and do a bit more research

If you tell us what the ad says we might be able to agree or disagree then

So it's an ad and a snake you want to buy. I see now. Why not tell us what the ad says...

Here's a novel idea....how about you just ASK the guy?! Whoa! I know my universe was just blown away with that one!
Anyway, it's $200 bucks. It's probably nothing crazy.

My guess is that the owner bought the snake from a pet store and hasn't a clue what it really is. But yeah, if he's rehoming for 200, it's probably just a common boa, nothing special.
I wouldn't pay more $100 for that particular snake, actually I wouldn't even purchase that sanke.

To me it looks like an anery which I only paid 100 for mine. If it is just normal then 200 is really high

Ah thank you I didn't notice that. Well then i guess 200 isn't bad but I would ask for a better picture and ask the guy.

Canada or US. Normal BCI are all the same.
$200 is extremely high. I wouldn't pay more than $85...if that even.

I could see $199.99 at a reptile store, but they are usually overpriced.
At expos you could pick one up for $75-$110.

You guys are right.. its no different here in Canada. 200$ seems WAYYY overpriced for this snake. I recently purchased a Common BCI that was too fiesty for the owner for 40$.. Figured I'd be the only one around here who would be willing to house a 7 ft striking monster haha..! Didn't want to let the big girl get into an irresponsible owner's hand.
first of all lol its kahl not cal i wouldnt purchase any animal over $40 bucks that the person cant spell the morph right. second het means its carrying the gene not that it visually shows it. so we couldnt tell you by looking third boas come with paperwork to state genetics kind of a cya thing if they dont have paperwork dont get it!! it also looks aneryish i wouldnt purchase an het albino with so little color unless i had a snow project going. save your money go to kingsnake.com and find a nice boa from a reputable breeder :)

LOL you guys are funny :) I surely would not pay $200 for that snake unless you have documentation as to what it is for sure! My guess a normal bci just a guess though without a clearer pic hard to say
