acrochordus javanicus. Check these out. Never have i seen a snake so strange looking.

Imagine that thing at 9 foot long with extremely loose skin. Some type of water snake.

Coloration, eye placement and heavy body reminds me of an anaconda.

Ah, the elephant trunk snake, I've heard of these before, I've seen them somewhere but I'm drawing a blank where exactly, might've been the Reptile Gardens or the San Diego Zoo or San Antonio Zoo or possibly the Omaha Zoo.

yup, Reptile Gardens had one or two really small ones. Weird looking ones.

I did a post on here before about them : )
They are totally aquatic and can be hurt easily if taken from the water. They are VERY cute. They do not thrive in captivity, unfortunately. Many keepers are still working on methods to get them to live past a few years.

Riverbanks Zoo in Columbia SC has a small one, I saw it the other day when I was down there. I took some pics, I will have to look and see what I have.
