This is Shervous, our new Pueblan Milksnake. He is sooo tiny so it was kinda hard to get pics...he is also really against sitting still.

Really cute!!! Congrats :D

How's his temperment? When I got mine he was so tiny, barely a foot long but he had the character of a big bad *** snake. When I'd pick him up he's bite, musk do a whole scene. It was pretty funny to me seeing this itsy bitsy snake do all that! He's calmed down since and doesn't bite anymore but he still musks me every time!!!

Pixie-

This little guy is almost same story, under ten inches..with major attitude. So far though we have only gotten one bite and that was after 10 minutes of trying to remove some shed. But when we do pick him up he flails around like we are killing him, and musks and craps everywhere. 3,4,5 times each session *LOL*

The guys on another milksnake forum said not to worry as most milks are like this and when they mature a bit it goes away. :) Thank goodness because this beauty is one snake I will be holding a lot!

Cranwill I know what you mean. I am kicking myself for not getting a pair of these guys instead of just one. But being my first milksnake, I wasn't too sure so I stuck with this little guy/gal but as soon as the opportunity comes up I am sooooo getting another!!!!

I really like the Oreo Pueblans as well. Very gorgeous. Does anyone here on this forum keep Pueblans? Other than normals?

I'd love to see pics of any Pueblans from the rest of ya's!!!! Also a question....does anyone have adults? And does their color fade or get "dirty" as they grow? I can't really tell in the photos I have found online.

I have noticed that with baby pueblans they have a nasty attitude, my new baby is a spaz. Does anyone know how there attitudes are when they are adults. Do they calm down at all.

Marisa that is a great looking snake...very nice colors

I could put up with some poop and perfume treatment if it meant a chance to enjoy those gorgeous colors up close. Besides, nasty lil tiny snakes make me LMAO.

Jamie, we have a yearling and he is still as crazy as when we got him (was about 9 inches then). I have read that Pueblans are less tolerant of handling than some of the other milksnake species. Our guy doesn't musk any more and never bit - just very squirmy and doesn't settle down until he is tired out. He also never tires of searching for an escape route from his hide. He was a rescue snake, so likely had the experience of getting out of a tank at least once, and no matter how small their brains are, these guys never seem to forget. Anyway - I am hoping he will settle down a bit more with age.

Marisa and others, they do calm down a lot as they mature. Mine are very calm and similar to my Sinaloans (not quite) in demeanor. The "yellow" typically will turn white, and also after a few years will "muddy up" a bit w/ black. It may take years or never happen at all. Yours is a nice clean one. They are more aggressive feeders than my Sinaloans though and are very easy to breed.
