Corn snake baby, moving to bigger viv HELP

Okay, so heres my situation, i hope to get a viv stack the viv is 3ft and ill put my Leopard Gecko in one but ive hear you shouldnt put a young corn in a big viv a they feel 'out in the open' and get stressed and even stop eating. What i want to know is this true, have any of you done this or is it just a myth? Any help would be great thanks!! :confused:

You can put your little corn in as large of a viv as you wish you just need to be careful about it. The more floor space you can cover with things to hide in and ways to get from one spot to another without being seen make it much better. The one BIG down side is that the more space you allow your little one and the more clutter you use to keep him happy the harder it will be to find him. I used to keep my corn in a 10 gallon tank and I would have a heck of a time finding him in that.

I always put babies in their adult vivs BUT i cover at least 80-90% of the floor space with hiding areas, foliage etc so that they dont get the big space feeling.

Think of the wild, most snakes are born and fend for themselves from the get go :)

Also by the way, my leopard geckos in a 3 ft aquarium and thats where i want my snake to go, but the lid is a condensation tray and i know snakes could push that and escape so do you have ideas of how to prevent that?
