I know our Hog Island Boa is not a red tail boa. I clearly state in the title of the picture she is a Hog Island Boa.

No he means the snake you labeled as hypo red tail. It is in fact a hypo common boa or BCI

He is a common boa? He was sold to us as a Red Tail. How big of a difference is there?

A red tail boa is a Boa constrictor constrictor a common is a boa constrictor imperator. There are different scale counts, different temperament, a slight size difference, a BCC is more slender and has a much deeper red tail. Jay can tell you a lot more. Oh and Bcc's are definetly more money.
