I will be there. I will be chasing a 2yo around, stopping her from hugging snakes. ;)
I'll be there. Should arrive about 11:30 or so. I'll be the huge guy with long red hair and glasses. Definitely say hi.

Just a bunch of tables in a Moose Lodge ballroom filled with snakes, lizards, amphibians, spiders, prey items, dry goods etc. There are three rows with tables on both sides, usually they're all taken but a few empty spots aren't uncommon.
Mostly there are ball pythons, but there's a fair assortment of other pythons, boas and colubrids too. Generally there is a couple of real standouts from a perspective of being fairly unusual. Last month there was a pair of beautiful black headed pythons that stood out to me.
I always get caught up in the moment and wind up forgetting to take pictures, but once again I'll try to get some tomorrow.
We're just going for rodent-cicles....but I've said that before.

Thanks Norm, this gives me a very decent idea of what to expect. For some reason I have the feeling that my wife wants yet another corn. I have a feeling we'll be there around 10.00am.

There's a couple there that always has some really nice cornsnakes. If you go in the entrance to the room and go straight in along the short side she'll be on the 2nd aisle endcap (on your right). You'll see what I mean.
Don't forget to say hi if you see me. I'm kind of hard to miss. ;)

I wish I was going. I've been to the Cleveland show a few times in the last few years. But I think it's been a good 8 to 10 years since I've been to the Columbus show. Maybe someday....

I went in the morning, and I had to make my way around some construction I didn't expect. The place itself was rather crowded, without seeing too many empty tables. I didn't see anybody I recognized, though. As expected, there were plenty of BPs, probably follow by kings, boas and corns. I only saw a few JCPs and rainbow boas. I would have expected more of the latter. There were plenty of other reptiles.
My son got an Oregon red-spotted garter snake, which I consider gorgeous with its yellow stripe, red dots and blue belly. I almost got a goini king snake, but I wasn't sure if I needed another king, right now. (It was a beautiful snake though.)
I ran into somebody in a tie-dye t-shirt in the parking lot who was staring at a KSB. He said that he had just traded two adult BCIs for this KSB. It must have been an odd trade, since he didn't seem know much about KSBs.

Oh, the boy was good. The problem is: He is very polite and outgoing, so he gets vendors to hand him stuff. (No, you can't keep that hedgehog!) The girl got crapped on by a king snake. That made her day, and she laughed so hard. Otherwise, she spent quite some time on my shoulders.

One of the first expos I ever went to I was so excited! I took my daughter (then 3) with me. She noticed the vendors had beer in plastic cups, so for like 10 minutes she kept saying "Mommy get me some apple juicy". I was just kind of like "What?" then of course "Wow!" and she finally decided she'd had enough of my half-assed parenting and broke free from me and ran off. Seeing as how she was much smaller and carrying no live animals or junk, she made her way through the crowd faster. When I found her she was at a table of mostly hots and had grabbed someone's cup of "apple juicy". Just as I got to her she tugged on the guys shirt and was like "Hey! Your apple juicy taste yucky."
Looking back now it's a rather adorable memory for me, but her first and only public spanking.

Hey, I got a good chuckle out of that one. My daughter knows what beer looks like and wouldn't be that easily confused. I saw one vendor who drank some ale out of a pint glass. Or as he put it: "There is no other way I would be able to stand the craziness, otherwise."

Being a former shop owner myself I know all about "The Craziness"
