FinALLY STARTING!!!! my dad and I are starting on the rep room tomorrow! we got 29 2x4's to start framing it tomrrow, it will be 8x8x6, the height sucks, but nothing i can do about it...
inside the room it will roughly be 7'8''x7'8'' so little under 8'x8'. not too bad, seeing as alot of my cages are either 4 foot long, or 3 foot long, so hoping everything will be able to fit nice!
pics will be on here tomorrow when we start, and i will update this for all the progress!
thanks for looking and make sure to subscribe to this one!

Cool! Does your dad enjoy building? I could use someone to build a couple of enclosures for me.....I'd pay of course! :)

this is our biggest problem... it is our AC air duct. runs right through the room, we need to take it all apart, and re-run it

nope, just cheap ply wood stuff... doesnt need to be super duper fancy, just a temporary room for a few years.

I would paint/seal the plywood to make sure you control any possible mold growth. I wouldn't rush it the extra 3-4 days and not paint/seal it.

don't really have extra 3-4 days for all of this, this SHOULD of been done over 2 months ago... we have all the baby's crib and stuff sitting out on the porch, still need to move ALL snakes down to the new room, clean the babies room, paint the babies room, assemble some of the furniture, clean the carpets, and them move in the furniture... all in like 4 weeks, give or take.... so i don't have much time, because with all that, i am also a full time nursing student and work about 4 days a week... so lol don't know if i will have the time, but if i can, i will at least seal it, i should of stated that.... i am not worried about mold though, our basement is dry (except our washer has a hole in the drum, so it leaks) and we also have a dehumidifier down there as well...
Love how the baby's cribs on the porch. Looks great so far.

lol its on our "side" porch, in boxes, so no one can really see it... :) thanks

ahh well in that case.. It can wait. Take care of the babies stuff and deal with the sealing of the wood later on if something becomes and issue.

But once it becomes an issue the wood will all need replaced.

it wont become an issue. our basement is dry... and we are going to be buying a house in a few years, so this doesnt have to be a perfect room, just somehting temporarily i can use for my reps

Fail, You can fix and repair sections if needed. It would involve temporarily moving snakes but it wouldn't be a total lost.
