Just showing off a 2011 hatchling, sire was a melanistic male and dam was a reduced black buckskin. Looking forward to seeing some more melanistics in the future.

I LOVE the Thayeri kings. Beautiful and typically very sweet tempered animals. And that one is a beauty!

I think we need another shot or two of this one. I like the look of the white mask on it. Can we see another angle?

I agree with Kat, we definitely need some more pics. I like his pale face too.

Thanks everyone!

Here's a few more pics. There were 3 in this clutch last year. I included a pic right after hatching and then one of each of them recently.

Yea, you're right it helps. It adds that little naturalistic part to the pics. After I took these, I realized they look really close to the same background and style of pictures you take. Hope you don't mind

Hahaha!!! Plus your mexicana look better than mine too! I wish that yellow one wasn't in shed she looks so much better. What's your thoughts on the gray face of that one up there. The other two have pretty much filled in with background color and that gray area is lightening up more on the other one.

Typically the cleaner yellow or orange leonis phase offspring hold onto that gray face longer.......most eventually speckle out with ground color or black speckling but there are a rare few that remain almost totally gray into adulthood....mainly the more line bred thayeri do this......less ontogenesis with those.....
