I was not sure where to post this one, but if I choose to order a reptile online, which website do you all recommend? I only know of LLL Reptile, and Florida herps.
Thanks!:D

It depends on what you're looking for.
There's the ever-popular Kingsnake.com, which is more of a marketplace of various vendors and dealers than a "store" that represents a single person or business.
That said, there's many breeders and dealers that do business online. Most have their websites, many have Facebook pages, and a lot of them use both.
Some are bigger-scale and more popular than others, but as one veteran herper I know put it, "We're all basement breeders. Some of us just have bigger basements than others, and some have outgrown their basements altogether and moved into warehouses!"
Many specialize and work with certain species. Many of us here have our own "blackbook" of favorite breeders/dealers whom we know and prefer to do business with. If you tell us what kind of herp you are looking for, we can help point you in the right direction.

I recommend hitting an expo. Think of it as a live online classified site but with less risk of getting a bad deal. You can see what you're buying and have the advantage of having the breeder right there to answer questions. There are good dealers online though so it all boils down to a matter of personal preference.

^ this, or i have had luck with kingsnake..
what i do... its probably annoying, but it makes me feel they care:)
say i see a BP i want... ill email them a few time asking general questions about it. dont ask all at one time, if they send you back a nice email each time you ask something then i am confident on buying it, i have some just reply 1 word... sure maybe he was very busy, or on his phone and it wasnt easy for him to reply... just made me feel weird
i got a pastel ball at an expo that was said (excellent eater and sheds perfect...) shes bad ( and i keep high humidity for her when she sheds and soak her) and she ate 2 times for me in 3 months... always refuses..
so its good and bad with both situations.

Not all expo vendors are honest people.
Some of the biggest scumbags I have ever met were at expos.
Think about this, if the person has a web site and a phone number then you can contact them anytime with your comments or problems.
A vendor at an expo packs up and moves on... Sometimes to never return.

I agree with this statement, but still expos are good hunting grounds if you know how to work them. Hence the reason I'm making my "How to expo" thread in the a.m.

I am interested in the how to thread. I think far to many people see the first snake they like and pay the high price to walk out the door with it.

I'm intrigued as well. However, I often see the opposite: people often go for the cheapest price, and never look for quality.
i used to enjoy expos bought 2 of my females at one and found out the chick was lieing..but when they are old enough i get to breed em out and try to find out what there hets actually are! so dont think ill be doing expos anymore

I bought my last burm from Fauna and it worked out great. He is an awesome snake, docile and doesnt mind being handled the the breeder was great as well. Lots of communication before payment was sent

I only buy hets from long time well known breeders who care about reputations.

I walk around expos at least 5 to 7 times before I even look to buy anything.

A good online place to look is Gerrick Demeyers website its, royalconstrictordesigns.com I got my ball python from him. She is beautiful, friendly, and best of all, HEALTHY! He and his team answer questions relatively quick as well.

Thank you all! I go to expos alot, but sometimes they seem a bit shady, and the online stores sometimes have guarantees

I've been looking around online also to find a good breeder that sells ksb. And now that I think I'm set on getting an anery color it seems like it's a little harder to find what I'm looking for. I know I'll be going to the National Reptile Breeder Expo in Daytona Beach next month and the good thing is that it's a huge show. The month after is the F.I.R.Expo and they have a good selection normaly. I'm someone has what I'm looking for at a reasonable price...

I can't wait to read it!

I have met two breeders at my first expo, that i feel actually care about their animals and i have bought from one twice, and plan to buy from the other one again.
I contacted someone through their website asking for pics for some snakes, and they sent me to fauna classifieds and gave me this short uninterested email....so when i was at fauna i contacted someone else and they gave me pics, and a good response, so i bought from them *lol*
