Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum... Mainly interested in field herping. Anyone know any good locations in the KW/Cambridge area?

Welcome neighbor.
Anywhere along the Grand in Cambridge, up off the new Mattamy development off of Guelph Ave. Take the new road east to the old bridge. Tonnes of stuff down there.

I've been to both Cambridge and Kitchener/Waterloo, but unfortunately I don't live near either. I wouldn't have a clue about good herping areas there.

I've had some luck around my place... there are some trails that run from Riverside Park along the Speed River to Chilligo Conservation area.
But other areas I've tried in the region have been a bit of a bust. I had high hopes for Homer Watson Park since it is such a nice place to hike and rarely has many people in it, but so far my trips there haven't yielded much.
I would really like to try the Grand River floodplain around the Highway 8 overpass... anyone been there?
