i have almost gotten my IJ X Jag carpet python and my Bearded dragon double enclosure display case done the sizes are identical all wood sealed and sliding glass doors on the front. i am wanting to heat them via ceramic heat emitters i have a cage to go around the one for the snake. what i dont know is what wattage of che i will need and really dont want to buy one online try it out and send it back if its too low or too high. i am trying to build this as cheap but good quality as possible. the cage dimensions are roughly 3' tall X 3' Long X 2' wide its actually a bit bigger than that but that is pretty close.

any help is greatly apreciated thanks, Logan

my BP's enclosure is almost that big (not so tall though) and I use 150w to easily keep ambient temps at 80f

so if i used a 150 watt could i still get a basking spot of about 90 degrees F and am ambient of about 80 degrees F? the beardie needs about the same temps as the carpet python.

I do NOT agree with using che for beardies. In order to be happy they need bright light there enclosures should be as bright as you can make them. if you use a che I recommend putting a normal fluorescent coil from your house right next to it then putting triple fluorescent tubes in.
