hello everybody just jpoined. I'd like to say that i currently own a boa constrictor in perfect health. and also many geckos mostly Rhacodactylus.

well theni've been wanting to get a burmese buti have recently read up about the superdwarf and dwarf retics and i like their colors more. the thing i dont like about large animals is not even the face of the large poop. its just how often do they do it. i was wondering who poops more often. burmese python or reticulated python.
i don't want anybody giving me lectures or anything i would just like some help on an answer with this.
i asked this on other sites and got a whole bunch of "Youre not ready" , "you dont deserve". I am not even 100% sure of getting one i must think it over alotttttt more. this is just one factor that will possibly affect my decision.

Thanks ya'll

I believe burms have a slower metabolism

My burm doesn't poop that much at all; out of all of my snakes, my burm goes the least amount of time; like once every couple of weeks.

Corrected. It as a lot to do with how often they eat and what they eat. If you want a snake that only goes about once a month or longer get a Blood python. Also remember the more often they go the smaller the poo. The longer in between poops the bigger it's going to be.

I've seen some pretty dusgusting blood python poops. Like half the size of the snake

I don't have any experience with retics, but my burms go less often than any of my other animals. One, however, loves to tail paint in her enclosure after she poops. :wacky:

It also has to do with how active the snake is. Retics are much more active so they will tend to go more often. Burmese are a lot lazier so they don't go as often, but when they do it's it's super size. My Yellow Anaconda is twice as active as my Carpet and he goes twice a week but in smaller amount.

Lol not fair! My anaconda goes every other day! Even if I cut down feeding he'll drop soo many urates all over the place lol

Sometimes I'd swear a great dane had crawled in our Burmese's cage and pottied. But, it doesn't happen very often. And if I notice it's been a little while and take him outside, he'll do it in the grass. :)
