So I picked up a 4x4x18" arboreal tank about an hour from home. I gave Kijiji another chance and the enclosure was in mint shape....
BUT....
The seller asks me if I like Drymarchon. I tell him yes and how I was looking into importing some Drymarchon Couperi (eastern indigo) to which he replys "why I can get them here". I called bs. These are beyond rare in Canada. So he goes inside and brings this little girl out.

Well I freaked right out. Now I am on the list for 2 from his breeder next season.
What luck. He also had a black texas indigo and a red tail cribo. I wasn't allowed to take photos of. Very nice very very active snakes. The texas indigo was rattling his tail for the first few minutes I held him.
What a great thing to happen after all the idiots I have met from Kijiji.

No not Don. But if Don has Couperi for sale I would love to talk to him. :)

That's awesome!

How come he didn't let you take photos of his black texas indigo and a red tail cribo?

Last time I knew him and spoke to him he was breeding them on a regular basis.

I don't know his contact info anymore though.

He was quick with them because they were full adult and I think he was shy about his neighbors seeing "big snakes" on the porch. They were out then back in in about 2 min.
But the one in the pics I had a good 5 or 6 min so I quicked popped a couple off to brag to my kids with.

I meant time did not allow. Not him saying no.

That high activity comes with an equally high appetite - absolutely ravenous snakes and really messy, but man-o-man they're sharp looking beasts :)

I originaly was concerned with this but my king is an absolute pig for food and poops quite often. If I can handle him, I figure these will be easy to tolerate.

You just want to make sure it's on rodents if you go for it. They'll usually eat almost anything (snakes, frogs, birds, lizards, etc.), and they eat really frequently (some every day), but from what I've seen some simply won't touch rodents and that can make life difficult :)

I didn't know any refused rodents. I knew they eat fish as well but didn't know that. Interesting!!
