My New jungle carpet x had died tonight when I went to fed her! :( I foned my reptile specailist and he came round and check her out and found that there was blood in her lungs!

He didnt why or what had caused this to happen, as I havent spray any chemcials or anything along them lines and my set up was perfect as he said!

So 1 week of owning her was brill! :)

Sorry for your lose. I would be get a whole of the breeder or who ever you got it from. Carpets are some of the hardiest snake one can keep. To have a Carpet die after only a week means there was something wrong with it when you got it IMHO.

Yeah im in the middle of contacting the dealer i got her from, as i had a guy out to look at her, he's gonna speak to him aswell and say it wasnt on my behalf!! Nothing i did was wrong or anything!

Not sure how it works with reptiles, but perhaps some sort of congenital heart defect that caused the blood to back up in the lungs? How old was it?

she was 14months old and I only had her for a week yesterday. So im really gutted about it as I was taking by her already!
