What are the temperature readings? If you have a temp gun, it will tell you if you need a higher wattage bulb.

What he said ^^
We have no way of knowing how well your viv retains heat or how warm the room you have it set up in is. If the room temp changes that will change the amount of heat you need. I would suggest a temp gun and a thermostat to allow you proper control of the temps in your snakes viv.

Unfortantly Iam waiting on one being sent out to me in the post, but i do have the thermo at the correct temp, i know i cant go by that. :( Ive only had this a week.
I was just wanting to try and get a rough guide sorta thing. :)

the top one has my royal python in it and its really good at holding the heat, its using a 100w infra red bulb on stat, just the new one is much bigger i was maybe thinking the 250w bulb might be better, but will find out soon once the temp gun comes thru! :)

I would say it should be fine but you need a thermostat to prevent frying your snakes.

Yeah i have thermostats for both my snakes, really what i mean is 150 strong enough for that size of viv lol also got a temp gun too

Plug it in and find out. Depends on air flow, room ambient temp, room construction, cage construction, cage setup, etc. No sure way to to tell without trying, but if you have to buy it to try and you can't return once you try it, then I see where you're coming from in wanting to know ahead of time.
