Well about 5 weeks ago I bought my kid a ball python from a pet store (never dont that and shouldnt have). was told upon purchase he had eaten 3 times and shed once. So for me the snake did not eat for 2 weeks and I know they are quite finicky little snakes but something was off. He would stay in a ball, in his cage 24/7, plenty of hides and temps were perfect. After calling the pet store a few times I was finally told by a manager that they had not eaten yet...DAMN  Well I got my money so cool. I found a breeder selling normal red tails that day and bought one. In the 3 weeks Ive had him he has eaten 3 times..all frozen :D and has not been nippy at all..which is strange..thought I get nabbed a few times..lol

so here are some feeding pics from tonight. He always misses on the first strike for some reason..still little and ive noticed if the snake isnt boiling hot he wont bite..gotta try this with the burm

Its not a matter of if but when and how bad... Try and handle him for about 15 mins a day a couple days a week, of course, not for a couple days after feeding... The only times Ive been bitten is because I made a mistake and was too busy/rushed/tired doing cage cleaning to pay attention to my snakes attitude... GL and hope you enjoy. Also when you get bit for your first time take pics or it didnt happen !

Oh I'm not concerned. I've been keeping snakes for over 6 years. I know baby's are usually nippy but he's pretty calm and doesn't seem upset over being handled

Nice snake. Don't you just hate pet stores?
