my fiance and i recently bought a baby female ball python from petsmart. when we bought her the people at the store didn't know when she had last eaten or if she had ever eaten... we've had her a little under 2 weeks. we know that it can take them a while before they will start to eat. other than that she seems just fine. looks and acts healthy. they told us at the store we had 14 days to return her but we've grown to attached to her. we were just wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to make her eat or any suggestions on what we should do. hope someone can help us!!

Be patient, dont handle her at all, just disturb her for changing water, only offer food every 14days until she eats.
Do all of the above unless she is showing signs of losing condition :)

when my baby girl wouldn't eat, I left her meal in the tank overnight, under her basking spot to keep it warm and in the morning, it was gone.
Give it a shot at the next feeding!!

This is normal for baby ball pythons in a new environment. Don't handle her, leave her alone, only bother her if you're changing the water, and offer food every 7-14 days. You can leave the meal with her overnight, since she might prefer to eat in secrecy. Make sure her enclosure is in a quiet part of the house, and that the setup is correct. Make sure temps and humidity are good, and that she has enough hides. Be patient! :)
