Have to admit, your Bloods are my favorites! I know they are not the right snake for me, so i will just continue to drool over yours:)

Tanner has such a sweet face!! And Sol is a beauty! I am still not too sure about the bloods though. Maybe i need to see one in person.
I love all snakes...and it'd be fun to hold one of those big fatties *lol* Can you even do that with them or are a lot of them too fussy?

Those 2 are only good for a couple of minutes being held, really. They're just too bulky and terrestrial to enjoy being held. It's much easier to just let them loose and interact with them that way than it is to hold them ;)

I figured as much. I'm so hands on. I bet they're heavy!! I'd like to see them slither around though.
I think i just need more snake exposure *nod nod* i've only been around mine, and what i've seen in the area! And i haven't seen one of these!

It's been a while since I've posted any images here, so I'll just do the multiples thing again and carry on this Mixed Bag idea. If you don't see it here, it's moulting so fresh images will be forthcoming. Enjoy!

Hehe, glad you enjoy 'm :)

Rainbow boas can be very sensitive about changing hands, and Mojo was no exception, however he's settling in nicely and just started eating for me, which is good news because he was awfully thin when he arrived 4 weeks ago, he wouldn't eat and then he went though a moult, so by the time he shed he was *really* thin. He refused a couple of offerings after shedding and I was starting to worry that a non-feeder had been dumped in my lap, so I just left him quiet to do his own thing and settle in and that did the trick. You'll notice there's a rather visible lump in 'm in that image.

Of course, the whole Mojo thin is all unofficial until his big unveiling, so let's just keep it between you and I until he makes his official debut with some good weight behind him. I'm hoping that all his bumps and bruises have cleared up by then also. Those are disappearing quite nicely also so far :D

...And the rainbow boa is gorgeous.
Which of the 3 Rainbows do you like best, Lisa? Skyler (Paraguayan), Tagz (juvenile Colombian) or Mojo (sub-adult Brazilian)? I'm going to assume you're talking about Mojo, but Skyler really floats a lot of boats around here too, so I'm curious to see which you like best, lol.

I'll post a thread with all 4 Rainbow boas (there is another juvenile Colombian here named Dusty which was dropped off with Mojo, but Dusty is just here so I can find him a new home) once both Dusty and Tagz have shed. They'll be shedding within a few hours of each other, but we still have a good week or so left to wait for that. It'll be fun to see all 4 in one thread to show the difference between them all.

Oh jeez...and I thought I had alot of my current animals. lol

Sadly, I have more pics of my animals than I do my kids....but in defense, my animals will be still long enough for pics while my kids hide from the camera lol

CDN_Blood
08-21-12, 05:56 PM
lol, they're not for everyone, that's for sure. Bubbles (for example) was OK to take out, snap a few shots, put in a spare tub and clean his own tub, but he was very *not* OK being picked up to be put back. We shared a couple of very tense moments where we had a battle of wills and as usual, he won :)

Haha that is great. I think I would be ok with that type of stuff I just have never held an adult and want to make sure I know 100% what I am getting into. Babies are easy to love but the adults can be brutal.

Well, I'll tell ya, this was no picnic, lol. He really *wanted* to nail me and it came awfully close a couple of times, but thankfully he opted to just buck and huff this time. They have very short fuses and I pushed his limit. He has the shortest fuse of the 3 Bloods and I'm lucky if I can get away with a full minute of handling him. It's *much* easier to sit on the floor with them and let them do their thing, but when you start handling them they can get quite stressed very quickly a lot of the time. They simply don't like being off the ground.

Oh, and they're going to get a whole lot bigger than what you're seeing of these two right now :)

*drool* must stop looking at your bloods lol. Just when I've decided to get a retic first, you have to post more pics of your animals that causes indecisiveness again. lol

Mojo really stands out from the others but seeing him against your colombians really brings out their beauty...such a difference!
