So I fed my yearling BCI her first medium rat last night because the smalls weren't making any kind of food lump so I figured it was tine to go up a size..

She had a hard time figuring out what to do with this much larger prey item and eventually started to butt munch it I thought all was well until I saw that it looked like one of the rat's feet was protruding out from inside her belly stretched against the skin and I of course had a mild panic attack. she didn't seem bothered by it but just coiled up getting ready to digest,

I fed her late last night since thats when I usually feed her so I didn't take any pictures, I plan on checking up on her in a bit to make sure she didn't regurge.

Has anyone seen this before and should I freak out?

I don't think it's cause for alarm my bci did the same thing with his small rat a couple days ago

Don't worry about it. You should see what long beaks do :)

haha ew! I am sure she's ok I was just worried that she popped a rib because the foot is sideways like I can see where the heel and toes are and it grossed me out. I haven't checked on her yet because I don't like disturbing her while she is digesting
