First one is gravid, should pop full of about 20-30 babies before too long!

yes i agree im about 99% sure the first one is a gravid female can't wait to see the little guys hanging out in the yard :)

the second one was very feisty and was not afraid to show it lol

indeed the short headed garters did infact musk me after i worked so hard not to get it from the others lol

cool, ther use to be a big pile of scids at the end of my street year ago and I would always go down there and catch a bunch of them. pretty much every board I lefted had a snake under it. only saw 1 so far this year when I was turkey hunting, tried to catch him but it was afast little bugger.

is it not amazing how a snake can go into a tuff of grass and never be seen again lol
