So I've been combating a mystery skin affliction since February and I think it's FINALLY gone!!!

I originally posted about it here:
http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/giant-python-discussion/92423-burm-skin-mystery.html

In retrospect, I don't think the "first" small patch is related; I think that was actually just a scrape.

This is the second shed since this issue appeared. And he looks better than ever. He just finished shedding yesterday so I immediately cleaned his enclosure and soaked him in betadine.

This was at least a pound of poop, and his perfect shed. Not too much of a mess this time.

This is his vent after his shed in March. You can see his vent is still irritated.

This is his vent yesterday! Perfect! There's a pink tinge, but he always has this after he sheds. It'll be gone in a few days.

His lateral scales are all healed.

A little blurry, but his central ventral scales are all healed.

Monty reacts to head toweling the same way my dog does. He seems to enjoy it.

I also want to thank everyone for their suggestions when I originally posted. You were all very helpful. I'm going to continue with the betadine soaks until his next shed because I saw this affliction re-emerge about 6 weeks after his shed in March. I have also stopped using Nolvasan (Chlorhexidine) because there's a pretty good chance he's sensitive to it.

Thanks!!! I'm pretty excited! :) I'm going to feed him again in the next day or two.
