bubba jay is the big guy, ruby is the little girl

bubba is about 8ft. i rescued him from a pet shop this past march. he was in a 20-30 gallon tank on the concrete floor with nothing but a small lizard heat rock for warmth.i put one of the thermometers on the floor and it was 58 degrees! the owner said he was down there because he was mean! he was also grossly underweight. to make a long story short, i got him for 45 bucks because the owner was scared of him. took him home and he had a resp infection(surprise,surprise!) for about two weeks i wasn't sure he was gonna make it, lots of mucus, wheezing, whistling, and open mouth breathing all the time. i kept him at about 90-92 on the warm side down to 86-88 on the cool. he perked up after two weeks, stopped wheezing, and got real excited when he smelled my pythons rat when i fed him. so i gave him a large which didn't even make it to the bottom of the tank. the next week i gave him two. and i've been giving him two every two weeks since. oh , and guess what, he's not mean, he was hungry! he's putting on weight but got a bit to go yet. ruby i've had since she was a baby, she's about 4-4.5ft and doing great
