I picked up 3 new snakes from the Hamburg, PA expo this weekend.

A baby Water Moccasin / Cotton Mouth

Baby Gaboon Viper, also ate the second day home, but ate it so fast I did have time to get a picture.

He is a wee baby. Maybe 6"

Very cool. Gaboon are so cute at that age. He will grow fast, too. I got mine at about that size, and within a year, he was 2+ feet.

Yes I know. This is not my first Gaboon, I have had many and I love them. My first Gaboon was over 6' and very docile. But I have had others that were not so docile.

He is about 2' to 2 1/2'

They are all gorgeous! That cottonmouth has really awesome facial markings...reminds me a bit of a cantil with all the white...beautiful. And the baby monocled is adorable..baby cobras are just too cute. The gaboon is stunning...I love love love them...just don't think I will ever own one. THey're just too dangerous and potent.

Gaboons are probably my favorite venmous snake. I just love them. Cottom mouths, cobras, those are super good ones too and these are SOO cute!

You can name them all. I'm not creative with names, so I normally don't give my snakes name. Only if they are stars of the shows.

Naming snakes is one of the most fun parts! I have a Marvel characters theme with my eyelash vipers and other new arboreals, and some named after cars, or their attitudes. BB, give them awesome names!

P.S. You should name the cobra "Commander" (G.I. Joe reference). :-P

You'll have to give them neutral names, I don't have the time or help to sex the venomous.

The viper is Commander! Hubby says the cottonmouth should be called Fluffy. And I name the gaboon Morgoth.

Not at all. But I think he needed a tough Lord of the Rings name. And it's a lesser known character so people won't know it's a boy's name.

My favorite would be the Gaboon without a doubt. I just like the patterns that they have and the large head. I guess you have to have a large head with fangs as big as theirs. If I was going to keep hots these are the ones that I would go with first and my second choice would be the eastern diamond back. They are really pretty when they first shed and the colors are so vivid.

The gabboon looks so childish it almost makes you forget they have the largest fangs of any snake in the world:D
That cotton mouth is a sight to behold.
