Freezing crickets

What's the best thing to feed crickets before freezing them? How long after feeding should they be frozen?

I can't say as I've ever tried to freeze them. I would think that just gutloading them would be the main goal though...that's sold as just cricket gut load.
Are you going to thaw them in water eventually, or set them out?

Yeah, I w as s hoping not to buy the "gut-load" commercial product. Some I went with premium dog food and some green beans.

Yes, they'll be thawed and mixed into the dried, packaged Dragon food.
