I need help to stop my female bp to stop hissing. Any suggestions to do this. I handle her two or three times a week, I put a piece of my shirt in there for my scent and she still hisses at me. Its only when I go to get her out after shes out she dosent strike or hiss any more.
Thanks
Brian
Many snakes hiss when you take them out. Though balls typically are a little more docile, they are certainly not to be discluded. If the hissing makes you nervous, try using a hook to remove her from her cage. In time she should eventually calm down, though some snakes never do - typically with balls (and a good portion of the hissing population...lol :p) this is just a bluff to show their displeasure and try to intimidate you. Hope this helped :)

The hissing in now way make me nervous. Even when she hisses I take her out and shes fine. I have a few snakes and none hiss so I was just wondering if this was normal for bps.
Thanks it did help.

My ballpythons never his, how ever our burms did and still do on occasion, the main thing I think it is because they're in a top opening cage.
