My first clutch of corn snake eggs are hatching! There are 12 eggs and so far 7 have hatched. The pairing was amel motley x anery. There are normals, amels, anerys and snows, so that means the amel motley is het anery and the anery is het amel. I didn't know their genetics because one was a pet store snake and the other was a rescue. I'll post pics once they all hatch out, right they aren't all the way out and keep ducking back into their eggs when I try to get a pic.

Corns usually hatch May-July, but can hatch as late as August or September.

Very excited for you. First time ever?

Thanks! Yes, my very first time!

OK everyone, here are the hatchlings! All 12 hatched with no kinks and are pretty large hatchlings. I haven't sexed them yet, I'll probably wait till they have eaten several times. There are 6 snows het motley, 3 anerys het amel and motley, 2 amels het anery and motley and 1 normal het snow motley.

They look awesome! Just out of curiosity, when they are little can you keep them together until you sell them or do you need to seperate them right away.

I keep them together until their first shed. They have to be on wet paper towel until they have their first shed and keeping them together makes it easier. They typically shed a week after they hatch. You can do this with most colubrids (rat snakes, hognose etc), boas and pythons, but never leave hatchling king snakes or milk snakes together.

Thanks! These aren't motleys, but they are all het motley.

Are you keeping some of them? Or are you going to sell them all.

I might keep a male and female snow, one of the anerys and one of the amels, but I won't know exactly until I sex them and see how their individual colors and patterns develop. At least 8 of them will be for sell.

All 12 ate! Also, I just realized I made a typo, the normal is a male, not a female.
