New 4 ft wide, 3 ft tall and 2 ft deep. it has 4 vents in the back (2 on each level) with the hot side reaching 89 to 97 during the day and cool side dropping to 80 to 85 during the day. at night the temperatures drop to 75 to 80 on the cool side and 83 to 87 on the warm side. The humidity ranges from 45% right under the day/night time lights to 80% without beiing under direct light. Each level has a water dish and a hide. their is a long stable "tree" for him to climb from one level to another (which he does A LOT). Also, theirs climbing branches in the back right corner on the ground for him to explore on. The lighting is on 2 circuits. i flip one switch and the day time heat lamp turns on along with a small uvb light to illuminate his whole cage. when i switch another switch, the black light will come on for the night and not allow temps to drop below 80 on the warm side but allows the cool side to get in the low 70's on a cool night.
Lastly the door opens up and stays up with a side hook, and of course locks when it is shut with 2 flip locks.

Thanks for viewing and commenting guys!

the cage is housing a normal ball python, my only snake ;( but hopefully i will be getting a blood python when i go to college, anyway, the shelf was made by putting in 2 pieces of plywood with about an inch in between them then put in the cage at the height i wanted, once they were in i jigsawed them to form the shape i wanted and then put small blocks of wood inbetween the 2 pieces of plywood to hold them together and give it much more strength. once the wood was all in the cage i lined it in wireing and then put several coats of stuco (a form of concrete if you will) and allowed it to dry, the stuco was like a clay texture when it was wet so that is how i gve the shelf i cave like feel to it with the texture. i then coated it in a non- toxic water based semi-gloss paint.

so basically... for a more simple description of the shelf, its wood that i cut out and put in the cage then put concrete over it and painted it :).
and thank you marvelfreak for the welcome!!

Yea I must say that is an awesome design!! The way you described the building of the shelf is the same as putting a mantel over a fire place just smaller scale. I would imagine that in theory that shelf you built is super sturdy, the fire place mantels can hold around 200lbs if done right. Again That is Awesome!!!!!!!!

"the cage is housing a normal ball python"
I was afraid you were gonna say that.

Your daytime warm temps are too low.
Your daytime cool temps are too high.
Get rid of the nighttime drop.
Your humidity is also too low.
Overhead heat sources (lamps) are bad for ball pythons.
Likely the cause of your humidity issues.

Aside from few minor issues (....) nice setup!
